Abstract

The global issue of waste management poses a significant challenge that demands innovative and sustainable solutions. This paper proposes a framework for a decentralized waste management platform leveraging the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) blockchain. The platform is designed to provide token rewards as an incentive for individuals who actively participate in proper waste disposal and recycling. By combining the transparent and efficient nature of the ICP blockchain with economic token incentives, this platform aims to increase social awareness, change public behavior, and create a more accountable and efficient waste management ecosystem. This paper will outline the system architecture, smart contract mechanisms, tokenomics design, and the potential social and environmental impacts of this implementation.
